For all those people who are interested in the Eurovision Song Contest, here are some details and results for the 50th Anniversary "Congratulations" Show on 22 October 2005.
The winner of the 50th Anniversary show was ABBA with Waterloo
The 50th Anniversary programme was held at the "Forum" in Denmark, the venue of the 1st Junior Eurovision in 2003. Lasted over 2½ hours.
The event was hosted by Katrina
Leskanich & Renars Kaupers.
Katrina won in 1997 with "Love shine a Light" for the UK and Renars came 5th in
2000 for Latvia with "My Star" in a group called Brainstorm. He was also the
host for 2003 contest.
Songs from the past 50 years were voted on the official Eurovision site and here are the 14 songs.

There was 2 rounds of voting. The second round, only the top 5 from the first round went through. The only difference in the voting is that any country can vote for any country including their own.
The songs were played on the video screens of which the following acts sang part of the songs on stage : Johnny Logan, Sertab, Olsen Brothers, Brotherhood of Man, Helena Paparizou.
Also the voting time was for much longer than the usual time. It was for the entire length of the show (the duration of the songs). Voting Round 2 lasted for 10 minutes.
The interval act was riverdance, the most popular interval act over the years.
