died on Sunday 31 August 1997, the Wednesday 3 September
1997 and Saturday 6 September 1997 was not televised, the
only time that the show was cancelled. It also seems that
when football is on a Wednesday, the summary lottery
results are shown on screen.
From draw 202, Saturday 29 November 1997, the show has
been renamed from The National Lottery Live
to The National Lottery Draw and a new
set.

must match the last 6 digits of your phone number. eg. To
qualify for Saturday 13 June's Show, the numbers were 24
20 11 28 48 35. Therefore, if you had the 6 numbers, 4 0
1 8 8 5, in any order, then you could go onto the
following lottery show to win a holiday. Holiday prize
range from a trip to Spaghetti Junction (M6 Junction 6
for UK residents) to a round the world holiday. The more
right, the better the prize. Lines closes are filled when
the 49 available places are taken. It is similar to
Talking Telephone Numbers on ITV. As well as this quiz,
there will be the Lottery Draw and a brand new game, National
Lottery Thunderball. You pick 5 from 34 main
numbers and 1 from 14 thunderball numbers. Similar to the
US Powerball game. Less numbers as the main draw and
easier to win more prizes, but a lower jackpot. Lowest
prize is £5, jackpot is £¼ Million. Prizes are fixed
and everyone in the same winning category will win the
same amount. Here are the Winning Wall Prizes in the
Winning Line show (slight variation from show to show). 1:
Spaghetti Junction, 2: London, 3: Scottish Castle, 4:
Ireland, 5: Amsterdam, 6: Paris, 7: Monte Carlo, 8:

knowledge quiz. This programme was broadcast from BBC

1999 and if you matched just 2 numbers, you won £43.
Matching 5 numbers wins the jackpot of approx £10million.

one won the jackpot so the jackpot was shared with the 4
+ Bonus winners, 2 winners, each won £2,563,220. Game 2,
you were allocated a year between 1000 and 1999 and a
year between 2000 and 2999. Two years will be drawn, 1

National Lottery Draw. Lottery Extra is now called Lotto
Extra. The new game was launched on 18 May 2002.

jackpot of £4m each. 4 games for £1. It is the same

the Winners Zone. Answer an incorrect answer and the
player goes into the red zone. Then another player will
be picked via the draw machine after all the contestant
in the Winners Zone has asked a question. This keeps
going until the end of game sounds. At that point,
whoever is in the Winners Zone at that time has a chance
to share the prize fund. Anyone else who is not goes home
with nothing. Then the final round. Each contestant gets
to answer one more question. Get it wrong and they are
out and win nothing. Get it correct and that player will
win a share of the prize fund. It is possible that all 5
players will share the prize pot or even 1 player wins
the whole prize pot. A player may answer all their
questions correctly adding a huge amount of money into
the prize pot and then gets the final question wrong will
win nothing! There is a maximum prize pot of £100,000.
