The 12th Junior Eurovision Song Contest took place at the Malta Shipbuilding, Marsa, Malta, on Saturday 15 November 2014. The contest last approx 2 hours 5 minutes. On slightly earlier at 6pm (UK), 7pm (CET).
Moira Delia hosted this event.
The singers must all be aged between 8 to 15 years old on the day of their national final. They must have written their song themselves with no professional help.
16 Countries took part.
The winner was decided by televoting and a jury (which made up about 50% of
the vote), as like the main Eurovision Song Contest.
Different this year,
there are 3 prizes, first, second and third.
The 2015 host will not be the winner of the Junior 2014 contest but the country has first refusal.
