With the Help with Sky Digital in the UK, I was able to watch the selection of the Irish Entries for the 2001 contest, on satellite channel, TARA.

The UK Great British Song Contest was presented by Katy Hill and was shown on BBC1, LIVE on Sunday 11 March 2001 at 4:45pm. Results were announced at 5:22pm. The televoting only last 10 minutes, from 5:07pm to 5:19pm GMT.

The winner was No Dream Impossible Sung by Lindsay D who is 16 years old. Lindsay's full name is Lindsay Dracass
Bob the Builder is singing one of the winning song writers song and another song writer has written Hear'Say First Single Pure and Simple.

The Irish Eurosong 2001 Contest was presented by Louise Loughman and was shown in the UK on Satellite channel, TARA and the domestic Irish Channel, LIVE, on Sunday 25 February 2001 at 9:30pm. Final results were announced at 10:56pm. The televoting only last 5 minutes, from 10:13pm to 10:18pm GMT.
